認識麻將牌面
一副麻將共有144張牌，分為三大類。認識每一張牌是學習麻將的第一步，也是最基礎的一步。
序數牌（共108張）
序數牌是麻將的核心，分為三門花色，每門各36張，每張牌4張相同，共108張。三門花色互相獨立，組合方式決定牌型。
🀅 條子 / 索子（Bamboos）— 36張
牌面以竹子圖案表示數量。一索為孔雀/鳥類圖案，是麻將中最具特色的牌面。五索中間一根為紅色。
🀙 筒子 / 餅子（Circles）— 36張
牌面以圓圈排列表示數量。一筒為大圓帶紅心，三筒及五筒中心為紅色，九筒為黑色。
🀇 萬子（Characters）— 36張
牌面印有紅色漢字「一」至「九」，下方配「萬」字。
字牌(Honor)（共28張）
風牌（Winds）— 16張，三元牌（Dragons）— 12張
東南西北各4張，對應四個方位。風牌既是面子组成件（可碰、可杠），也是番型的構成要素。
花牌（共8張）
春夏秋冬各1張對應四季，梅蘭竹菊各1張對應四君子。花牌在多數規則中不計入牌型，摸到後須「補花」（取出並從牌尾補摸）。但台灣麻將和部分地方規則中，花牌具有計番價值。

- 先記序數的三門：萬子紅色漢字、條子綠色竹子、筒子綠色圓圈。
- 再記字牌：東西南北 + 中發白，共7種各4張 = 28張。
- 最後記花牌：春夏秋冬 + 梅蘭竹菊，各1張共8張。

Mahjong Tiles
A standard Mahjong set contains 144 tiles, divided into suited tiles, honor tiles, and flower tiles. Recognizing each group is the first step in learning Mahjong.
Suited Tiles (108 tiles)
Suited tiles are the core of Mahjong. There are three suits, each numbered from one to nine, and each tile has four identical copies.
🀅 Bamboos / Bams — 36 tiles
Bamboo tiles use bamboo-like marks to show numbers. The one bamboo is often drawn as a bird, making it one of the most recognizable Mahjong tiles.
🀙 Circles / Dots — 36 tiles
Circle tiles use round patterns to show numbers. They are sometimes called dots or wheels, depending on local terminology.
🀇 Characters / Craks — 36 tiles
Character tiles show Chinese numerals from one to nine, usually with the character for “ten thousand” below the number.
Honor Tiles — 28 tiles
Winds — 16 tiles; Dragons — 12 tiles
The four winds are East, South, West, and North, with four copies of each. The three dragons are Red, Green, and White, also with four copies of each. Honor tiles cannot form sequences, but they are important for triplets, kongs, and many scoring patterns.
Flower Tiles — 8 tiles
Flower tiles include the four seasons and the four noble plants. In many rulesets they are bonus tiles: when drawn, they are revealed and replaced from the back of the wall. In Taiwanese Mahjong and some local rules, flowers can add scoring value.

- Then remember the honor tiles: four winds plus three dragons, seven types with four copies each.
- Finally remember the flowers: four seasons plus four plants, one copy each.
